Andre Kwok has been an entrepreneur since 2012 in emerging Southeast Asia and the Belt and Road Initiative. As the Founder of Future City Summit, a multilateral development organisation based in Hong Kong, he curates summits and development programs in the field of urban development, affordable housing, food, fintech, smart city governance and policy, connecting both public and private sectors in over 30 emerging cities in Asia and Africa through establishing the Emerging Future Cities Network. High-profile guests include Prof. Muhammad Yunus, Founder of Grameen Bank (Bangladesh), I.B. Rai Dharmawijaya Mantra, Mayor of Denpasar City (Indonesia) and Arthur F. Celeste, Mayor of Alaminos City (Philippines).
Previously, Andre worked at an asset management company in Hong Kong and volunteered in agencies such as United Nations Development Program and Mekong Business Initiative (MBI) of Asian Development Bank in Southeast Asia with experience in emerging economic development, development financing and entrepreneurial governance, financial technologies, agriculture, food, entertainment, urban development and education. Andre was also invited to be a founding member of Hong Kong - ASEAN Economic Cooperation Foundation.
He was the Young Leaders of Tomorrow 2019 at St. Gallen Symposium and Clinton Global Initiative Unveristy Hong Kong Ambasador and Mentor (2014/15). He holds a degree from University of Hong Kong and is now studying a master’s degree in Public Policy in Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy in The National University of Singapore under scholarship.
