“Made in Hong Kong“ is back! The Hong Kong Research Institute of Textiles and Apparel (HKRITA) will partner with local manufacturers to re-establish an environmentally-friendly automated spinning mill in Hong Kong. By applying local R&D technology, laundry waste will be remade as new cotton yarn in an environmentally-friendly way without releasing any sewage. They will also collaborate with H&M, the international fashion brand, and showcase to citizens how to transform old clothing into brand new ones within hours!
Mr Edwin Keh, CEO of HKRITA, will tell us more about how sustainable development is practiced by adopting the new technology at SES2018. Stay tuned!
