Themed “Diversity in talents” Social Enterprise Summit @ Central & Western District Social Entrepreneurship Lab (SE Lab) gathered more than 80 representatives from enterprises, social enterprises, non-profit organizations and the academic sector to discuss over possible cross-sector innovations and collaborations.
In addition, District Officer (Central and Western) Mrs Susanne Wong, JP, shared the experience of engaging businesses, elders, students, parents and even domestic helpers to participate in various innovative activities in the district; multinational corporations KPMG, Ernst & Young and Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group representatives agree that corporates should embrace change and allow people of different sex, ages, races and abilities to work together and spark innovation. The future development of cultural talents in Hong Kong is also being discussed during the SE Lab.

Theme : Death Journey
Many Chinese immigrated to Hong Kong from the mainland in the late 19th Century and lived in Sheung Wan. Poor living condition resulted in high death rate and funeral customs from different parts of China were carried out in this district. The tour will lead you to go through a“death journey” to learn more about local belief towards death, funeral rituals, the past lifestyle of Hong Kong people in the district, and the development of public health care.
