Social Enterprise Landscape Survey Launch

As part of the Global Social Enterprise Landscape Series, The British Council and the Social Enterprise Summit (SES), along with the Social Enterprise Business Centre (SEBC) at the Hong Kong Council of Social Services (HKCSS) and the General Chamber of Social Enterprises in Hong Kong (GCSE) are collaborating to conduct the first social enterprise landscape survey in Hong Kong. We are delighted to launch the survey findings of the most comprehensive research carried out to date at the SES 2020. This will be a precious opportunity to learn about the latest trends, success and challenges facing social enterprises in Hong Kong, and to find out how social enterprises have weathered and responded to the pandemic.

The survey aims to assess the landscape, identify the barriers to growth and determine what support organisations with a social purpose need in Hong Kong. It is part of a global series of surveys on the 'State of Social Enterprise', which is led by British Council and has now been conducted in almost 30 countries.

In this session, we will outline and discuss the research key findings and benchmark them against other Asian countries.
