A serial entrepreneur, Manjeet Singh currently leads India’s largest technology-driven scholarship platform Buddy4Study, empowering students who face financial challenges to complete their education and fulfil their dreams.
An Engineer from MERI, Kolkata, his proven expertise in software technology is the backbone of Buddy4Study. In a career spanning more than a decade, Manjeet has held prime positions across leading technology companies in India. Before establishing Buddy4Study, he built a software services company dealing in corporate education, consulting and product development. He led the venture to expand its client base in multiple countries including Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Nigeria, Singapore, Senegal, and South Africa.
With his technology prowess, Manjeet has help build a highly motivated team of technology geeks who used Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Data Science to build robust products like Scholarship Management System (SMS), Scholar Tracking System (STS) that now places Buddy4Study at the forefront of emerging EdTech space in the country. Under his leadership, Buddy4Study has won national and international recognitions such as most impactful social enterprise in 2019, Nasscom top 50 innovative companies, and Top two technology Social Enterprises of the world by Capgemini.
At Buddy4Study, he has been relentlessly working with corporates in designing and end-to-end management of their education-related Corporate Social Responsibility schemes, government policies, especially scholarship and mentoring programmes, focusing on holistic development of students from the economically lower section of society. To empower students with scholarships and mentoring solutions, the platform has been collaborating with top Indian corporates and multinational corporations including Loreal, HUL, Vodafone Foundation, DLF Foundation, HP, Marubeni, and MSDF.
In less than three years, Buddy4Study has more than 2.1 million registered students in India and the user base is growing rapidly with over 45,000 daily visitors. With his dynamic leadership, Buddy4Study has facilitated over USD 10 million worth of scholarship fund to more than 65,000 students so far.
To put it simply, Manjeet is on a mission to bring joy of education to millions of underprivileged and meritorious students who drop out of formal education due to lack of fund. Technology-led solutions being at the core of his problem-solving approach, he is committed to making Buddy4Study the world's most sophisticated tech-based scholarship portal.
