It is often said that techonology innovation is a double-edged sword. Some say advanced technology can maximize socio economic benefits. Others say technology is no panacea and can never replace human being. How can a machine provide individualized service? In the ‘STEM Impact’ session, we have invited a number of local and overseas social entrepreneurs to share with us how STEM can make a social impact. They will explore ways that science, technology and innovative design can respond to social needs. Is new technology driving out the old ways of providing service? How do these social entrepreneurs break away from old ideas that “tech is taking away our humanity”?
