Population aging is a common problem in many Asia countries. Low birth rate and the advanced age of the population have put tremendous pressure on the medical systems. To address the challenges of an ageing population, ‘healthcare social startups’ emerge in many Asian countries in which social enterprises use novel technology to assist patients and meet their needs. So, how does it work? In this session, we have invited some ‘health care social startuppers’ from Japan, Singapore and Hong Kong to share with us their ideas.
