Theme: Youth Employment@Yuen Long and Hong Kong Shared Value

A fruitful discussion at Social Enterprise Summit 2017@Yuen Long Hackathon was completed on 24 August. The guests and participants worked together to find out the opportunities for the youth in the district with the following suggestions:
1) There are historical renowned old businesses in Yuen Long for the youth to learn
2) There are abandoned schools and undeveloped areas for their further exploration on innovative businesses
3) The well-developed sport in the district can turn to a career option
With the discussion, we hope to step forward to the path of creating a better Yuen Long!

Guests provided in-depth explanation on the topics of youth employment in Yuen Long and Hong Kong shared valued.

We are honoured to have Mr Howard Ling, MH, Chief Consultant of HKCSS Social Enterprise Business Centre, to share his experience with 240 students from WF Joseph Lee Primary School and Heung To Middle School (Tin Shui Wai). He encouraged students to learn and understand the needs of others, then use our own strengths to meet the corresponding needs, in order to realise the spirit of social entrepreneurship with our small actions in daily life.

The speaker Mr Ling interacted with students to introduce the concept of social enterprise.


The speaker Mr Ling shared his first-hand experience on operating social enterprises.
