Tithe Ethical Consumption Movement

Tithe Ethical Consumption Movement 2015

Organized by Fullness Social Enterprises Society (FSES), Tithe Ethical Consumption Movement (TECM) 2015 will be launched from 19 September to 31 December with a series of events and campaigns to drive more awareness and support to the sustainability of social entrepreneurship in Hong Kong. It aims at enhancing the notion of “10% Swap for Good”, encouraging consumers, corporations, education institutions and organizations to make a socially conscious choice to patronize the products and services of social enterprises (SEs), so as to promote an active citizenship and betterment of the community. In 2014, TECM has attracted participation of over 100 SEs and prompted 31,000 ethical consumption purchases at both individual and corporate levels. The movement successfully generated over $5.1 million for the participating SEs. Compared with 2013, the last two figures represent an increase of 35% and 60% respectively. The opening event of TECM 2015 is the Ethical Consumption Bazaar which will be held on 19 and 20 September, from noon to 9:00 PM, in Park Central, Tseung Kwan O with around 30 sales stalls of SEs. Concurrently, the Opening Ceremony will be taken place on the first day of Bazaar, including performances, workshops, mini-tours and awards presentation. Welcome to join us!
