Hong Kong Social Entrepreneurship Forum is pleased to announce that Mrs. Rebecca Yung has been appointed as the new Chair of the Social Enterprise Summit from 2017 onwards.
Rebecca has been with the Social Enterprise Summit since 2011, serving on the Organizing Committee and chairing the Community Forum which aims at popularizing and implementing social entrepreneurship at local communities and schools.
Rebecca was a pioneer of the exhibition and conference industry in Hong Kong and China since the early 1980s. She successfully founded, branded and organized over twelve world- renowned international trade fairs and conventions in Asia. At the same time, she has been actively engaged in community and voluntary works. After retiring from her own business, Rebecca dedicates herself fully in promoting social innovation in different sectors and age groups. She also proactively advocates business as a driving force for social good and in creating shared value.
Rebecca was appointed Chair of the Social Enterprise Summit in November 2016. She is also the Founder & Chair of Golden Age Foundation, Founder & Vice-chair of Education for Good, Founder of Ednovators, Social Impact Fellows and Social Investors Club, Advisor of a number of social enterprises and NGOs, lecturer, columnist and radio programme host.
